The NSS programme in our college aims to inculcate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food,clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.

Our college has an NSS unit with 100 volunteers. The unit regularly involves in the social service activities like Blood donation camp, coastal cleaning camp, assisting the district administration during the needing periods.

Report on National Service Scheme for the Academic Year 2021-2022

National Youth Day, also known as Vivekananda Jayanti, is celebrated on 12 January, being the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. In view of National Youth Day-12.01.2022, an awareness program was conducted on the topic “Say no to plastics” by Mr.G.G.Naganathan, AP/Chemistry through online mode. Around 150 students were participated in this programme and gained knowledge

As per the Instruction from Government of Tamilnadu, it is advised to distribute ALBENDAZOLE Tablets for the College Students. Medicine Arrangements was done by Urban primary Health Centre, ThiruUthrakosamangai. Tablets were distributed to all the students.
